Apples and Oranges
A blog site is dedicated to all aspects of Public Health.
In May 2020, I completed a Bachelor of Applied Public Health at Torrens University Australia. My study has broadened my knowledge of the integration of individual and population health and the ongoing interaction of the determinants relating to individual health and wellbeing, and community initiatives.
During this time, I was appointed the Student Representative on the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) of the South Australian Branch. Since completing my studies I have taken on the roles within the Executive Committee as the Branch Minutes Secretary and State Conference Coordinator for 2020.
My interest in public health stemmed from the role of Wellbeing Coordinator at Phil Hoffmann Travel. This role opened my eyes to the concepts of improved of health and wellbeing on individual and community levels.
The aim of Apples & Oranges is to put into practice my university theory and show how this is related to the current issues and event occurring in my communities, on a national and international level.
